More than two out of three Italian non-smokers and one out of three current smokers have smoke-free homes. The number of smoke-free homes is substantially increasing in Italy, and an acceleration of this trend is expected with the 2016 implementation of a new tobacco control legislation aimed at decreasing the social acceptability of smoking.
